HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Last week was Hannah's "Student of the Week"
at school. She gave a great presentation about
her family and her heritage.
She is a great student and of course a most
wonderful granddaughter.

Opps! Linda asked me to set the Thanksgiving table,
but I was shocked to see this center piece.
Of course I washed the table cloth
before the family arrived. ha-ha
Bad Silvi !!!!

We took a lot of Thanksgivig dinner pictures

but this one of Nicolette and Hannah

was the only one not blurry.

The next morning we had a beautiful sunrise
and a warm sunny day.

But, as they say, what a difference a day makes.
Finally, our winter is here and wow it is
beautiful. 6 inches over night.
And look, it isn't even all that cold.
Its like 24 degrees, sweet.
Linda, Greta and I went for our morning walk
and with no wind it was very nice.
Greta absolutely loves the snow.
Its probably not golf cart weather though.

What A Difference A Day Makes

November 13, 2008 mid 60's and sunny.

Linda and I had a great long ride and soaked up the sun.

Lov'n life! First time in 19 years here that
it hasn't snowed by Halloween.

Oops! Spoke to soon. Our first snow came today.

Greta is on the hunt.
The rabbits can't run as fast in the snow.
She just can't get enough of it!

THE LATEST

As the sun sets in our backyard.

In preparation of the election
we put in this (freedom) bell on our patio
to ring in our celebration for
America!

Greta has become quite the ranch dog
and is hard at work ridding our property of rabbits
and the barn of pigeons.

Savannah and her friend Paige are getting
in a little ranch golf cart time.

They are trying to herd the horses back to their pen.

We put the top on for the winter weather.

They have discovered the fun of doing
a little off road driving.

We were thrilled to have Ross and Jenny Freedman
here with Ty and Jesse visiting from Boston.
Scott and Taylor went to Pepperdine together.
Scott has been with Springbok for about 8 months
and heads up SBS sales.
He and his family are relocating to Colorado.
We never get enough of the life here on the ranch
and we love sharing it with others.

Savannah and Paige did a little horsn' around this day.

Savannah has taken to being a horse 'owner'.

She and Dandy are really bonding
and seem to have deepened their respect for each other.

This is about the end of our color.
We think this has been the most beautiful of all the
beautiful falls we have had here in 19 years.
This is the first year that we haven't gotten snow
at the ranch before Halloween since moving here

With Savannah now owning and riding Dandy more
our friend Linda from Denmark
is spending some time on Cochise.
Linda still rides Dandy at least once a week.

She has risen from a novice rider to a very good
rider and is now helping with training
and riding lessons.
Linda, Greta and I went to the last
cruise in Golden and saw this '56 Ford
which reminded me of RG Duval's.
Even though I have never met them I am very proud
of my cousin Brayn's two boys.
Hayden, in the back is 11 and in the front is William who is 9.
Congratulations on the great trophy's.
Hannah had a great Halloween and was really cute.

Speaking of cute!
Taylor Credle..... could anything be cuter?

GOOD FAMILY TIMES

We are sorry to report that after a short illness Elsa has
gone to be with our other loving fury family members.
Elsa had the biggest loving heart imaginable
and gave total loyalty to Nicolette, Jaden, Kim
and Taylor, as well as all others she met.
Jaden and Nic like coming to the ranch and playing with
all the animals. This day it was Silvy's turn.

No Silvy does not have kittens. The kids loaned her
their little stuffed friends. She'd make a good mom.

Taylor and I are finally getting a little saddle time.
It was a beautiful day and a grand ride.

SOCCER OHLSEN STYLE

Coach Taylor

"Our" star of the team.

Nicolette is doing great this year.

She is a leader and very aggressive as well as
TALENTED!

SCORE!!!

Jaden has a 'buddy' on the other team and
they have become strong rivals.

The is no stopping him. He is fast and can handle the
ball very well with his feet.

Agressive doen't quite discribe his intensity.
He LOVES the game.

Jaden is always 'on the ball', not just in soccer.

FALL AT OUR HOUSE

Greta is taking in all the Fall colors from the porch.

The mountains have turned and now it is our special time.

We are about ready for our 'last' grass cutting for the year.

This is one of our favorite times of the year.
The weather is perfect and the colors are gorgeous.

Soon everything will be bare and we will have our first
beautiful snow.
